History

“In August 2000 I was in the U.S. with an important entrepreneur to discuss the distribution of our products in his region and was invited in a renowned Italian restaurant in Manhattan. The entrepreneur - of Irish origin - had admitted that he loved the Italian food though his mother and wife were both good cooks. In a typical English-American he showed strong enthusiasm that made me proud of being Italian: “I love the Italian food”. We ate and talked courteously both about business and petty things as people usually do at table. I admit that the food was excellent.
To my surprise one course had a typical Italian name but the food was not exactly of the typical Italian flavour and tradition. I became curious and inquired more about that. Very honestly the waiter told me that the sign was Italian because 'Italianity' is much appreciated, the cook was Japanese and all waiters were Latin Americans and the owner was not Italian at all. We both smiled at his answer. At the same time it led me to think how much the Italian cuisine is appreciated and sometimes faked out and the 'Made in Italy' repeatedly imitated. “Panfocaccia's history is the story of me as an individual and entrepreneur, of my work commitments around the world, of me visiting countries and meeting up people from all the more different cultures. These deep evaluations and considerations resulted in the project Panfocaccia.”


Panfocaccia aims at meeting the need of the catering industry in general and particularly of fast food industry. We have restored the values lost by most fast food industries who attempt to serve Italian menus. For instance, we put a high priority on producing tasty Italian meals which are based on historical Italian culture and tradition. With that, many wonder why obesity rate in Italy is very low.
The answer is easy: Italians eat healthy tasty food, in other words, eat Italian food. What happened in the restaurant in Manhattan is one of the many examples of the imitation of ‘Made in Italy’ products and represents one of the few cases where quality has been protected. Panfocaccia is committed to ensure the Italian quality to its customers. It is not a vague concept but a lifestyle which unites healthy tasty ingredients and love for food.
